The Bones of Amoret grabbed me right off the bat with its striking cover.
The story is told in an interesting way. Doctor Noah Grady is telling his story to a female reporter for the El Paso newspaper, although she is in the background, rarely mentioned.
The story revolves around a missing man and the people that lived in the same community of Amoret, Texas; hence the book’s name.
This story is told in such a way that I couldn’t put it down. Dr. Grady is an old man when he’s telling a story from fourth years ago. He is such an integral part of the community and lived an atypical life, helping others through legal and illegal means.
The Bones of Amoret is one of those books that sticks with you. It is exceptionally well-written with an ending that slaps you in the face, in a good way.
This is the author’s second novel. After reading this,I really need to read his debut novel. I have a feeling I will like it.
Thank you to @r&rbooktours and the author for providing this book for me to read and review. 💕
