In Taking on Secrets, Benjamin Kissel leads us through his teenage years and into his post-college life.

Fantastic! I don’t know how he did it, but Kevin wrote a story about Benjamin’s rather mundane life by letting the reader into this boy’s head.

Taking on Secrets shows that your perceptions about someone might be off base. It tells of this young man’s coming of age in a humorous and sometimes blunt way. It shows the after effects of peer pressure.

The characters are realistic, each with their own flaws. Religion is of utmost importance to the MC’s mother and leads to a shocking revelation. Things aren’t always as they seem.

I adore this author’s way with words. Simple and effective. Taking on secrets made me chuckle, smile, and feel bad for the main character. I see why he is an award-winning author.

If you enjoy a coming-of-age story, you will like this. It involves so many extras. I am definitely a fan.
