Primitives
Sʜᴏᴿᴛ Sʏɴᴏᴘsɪs
Primitives is a post-dystopian novel where humans were hit with extreme fatigue. The supposed cure took part of their mind, making them incapable of normal human functioning. They backtracked to a primitive state. Was this a fluke, or did someone cause this chaos?

Primitives is a bit different from any other dystopian book I’ve read, and I’ve read quite a few, my friends.
There aren’t zombies wandering everywhere. The people left aren’t actively trying to take over other groups’ homes, making everyone constantly watch their backs. It doesn’t go into detail about the changes they’ve been forced to make. The focus is on two characters, the decisions they make, and the science behind what happened to society. Is there a cure and if there is, would it be the best thing for society?
If you like strong female leads, you will love Sarah! She stands up for herself and is always coming up with a plan in her mind.
Seth is the lead male character. He is more naive as he has only been around one other person for the entirety of his twenty-four years and has never ventured far from home.
These two characters narrate the story, alternating by chapter, so there is no confusion.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Primitives. Although it is a thick book, it kept my interest with no problem. I liked the scientific aspect and that it kept the science jargon to a minimum. The ending is a monster cliffhanger, so I am hoping for another book.
If you enjoy dystopian fiction and want to read something a bit different, this is for you!
