Malala’s Magic Pencil is a fantastic book that gives insight into Malala’s life, the good and the bad.
It is written so the scary event is mentioned in a low-key way. Another adult who read it said it didn’t leave out the murder attempt, but it wouldn’t scare children.
The story and illustrations are well done, teaching children a bit about an extraordinary girl who almost died to speak up about injustice.
