Sʜᴏᴿᴛ Sʏɴᴏᴘsɪs for A Night of Wings and Starlight
In A Night of Wings and Starlight, Arya wants to be the first female Chosen. She has trained her whole life for this. The Chosen run through a dark land with vampyres on their tails for Queen Adzehate. She feels content until what she doesn’t know slaps her in the face. This is when her eyes open and her life changes.

This is book centered on good and evil and the fight for good. The plot is intriguing, the characters surreal, and the setting off putting, in a grab you by the seat of you pants sort of way.
The setting is uncommon as daylight disappeared 100 years ago in Valdihr. Danger lurks in the darkness and most stay safe indoors.
The characters have distinctive personalities. Arya is rough around the edges, yet cares for others and wants to do what is right. She is likable in a roughneck sort of way. Azriel is a winged Watcher, created by the god of war, who comes into Arya’s life at the perfect moment. He is beautifully flawless. There are a couple deceitful characters to dislike as well.
A Night of Wings and Starlight blends a dark world with gods, vampyres, and winged men. The plot evolves as Arya has to figure out who to believe and which side she should fight for and fight she does. There’s nothing like a kick ass female character and Arya is it!
Amongst the fighting is a subtle romance as well. It winds its way to the surface as the story progresses. Can immortals and humans hook up?
I certainly enjoyed reading A Night of Wings and Starlight. I am looking forward to book two.
