𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 21: 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘐 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘕𝘪𝘬𝘬𝘪 𝘚𝘪𝘹𝘹
The title says it all.
Nikki Sixx tells the story of his childhood and how he delved into the world of rock and roll. I was impressed with how well-written this story was. Nikki seemed to give a straight shot glance into the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of his life.
Family seemed to be a recurring theme throughout the book. The love he has for his sister, grandparents, and aunts, and uncles stands out like an 80s rocker at a Neil Diamond concert. The same goes for his wife and children.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this wasn’t a “look how crazy we were” 80s band story. It was a more personal look at Nikki’s growing-up years. A look at how his choices led him to his success with Motley Crue.
I was a teenager in the 80s during Motley’s days of glory. They were one of my go-to bands, and I enjoyed the long hair, crazy dress, and make-up; the music was even better!
If you are a Motley Crue fan, I think you will enjoy learning more about Nikki Sixx in this biography. Grab a copy, pop that old cassette into your boom box, and learn a bit more about Nikki.
